After a month or two of running in the mid-south with temps in the 90's and a heat index over 100, my shoes were just nasty. I bought Stuffitts just this past Saturday and used them after my Sunday run. This morning, my shoes were dry and smelled much better than before. What a great product! Have to give credit to my wife for coming across these at Breakaway Running in Memphis.

My last MTB race through the rustic rolling hills of Michigan left my feet soggy and my shoes emitting an odor I had never smelt. After one night with the Stuffitts in those babies, the moisture was gone and the shoes smelled fresh. I will continue to use these when I'm out, no doubt.

I love how quick they dry my shoes after a wet day on the bike, and then they leave them with a wonderful aroma of cedar afterwards!
That handy dandy lanyard connecting them together is very conveinant when i want to carry my shoes around too!

I came home from my third ride in the rain in four days last week to find that I had used all of our weekend’s newspaper to dry my riding shoes after the first two rides in the rain. That’s when I remembered that my Stuffitts shoe savers were made for more than just making my riding shoes smelling nice, they also dry them out. Put them in, and my shoes were dry the next morning. I’m never using newspaper again.

I am a rescue swimmer in the US Navy and wanted to say thank you for how much you save my life! I do quite a bit of flying, moving around, and working out. I sometimes wear my flight boots all day, only to bring them home and smell nasty. I sometimes wear my rescue booties all day (the small boot that goes into the fin) and smells nasty and is all wet from sweat. I use to use only stuffits for my running shoes when I was training and racing triathlons, but now I use them in both my booties and flight boots. We get called on some water rescues with only minutes or seconds to spare and when I know my gear won't be smelling nasty or wet from my sweaty feet, I never have to borrow gear and always know my rescue swimmer gear is ready to go and my flight boots will weigh less which in turn will help me perform an Overland Rescue faster without sweat/water logged flight boots.

I used my Stuffitts after a long wet mountain bike race and was amazed how quickly they dried. Usually it takes multiple newspaper changes to soak up all the water. Stuffitts managed to dry them quicker and had them smelling great. I can't wait to ride in the rain again.

I saw a review of these in a magazine and had to get them for my daughter's soccer shoes. Most of the time before we would always put the shoes in the trunk so we wouldn't have to smell them. These are wonderful! Her shoes smell just as good as they did when we bought them at the beginning of the season. I wish we had known about these earlier. Keep up the good work!

Stuffitts rock! They do wonders for my ski boots and every pair of shoes I wear. If you workout regularly, you will want more than one pair for use in both workout and dress shoes. I leave a pair in my golf shoes, workout shoes and a third pair in my dress shoes. I even take a pair in my workout shoes when I travel. Incredible product. Thanks Mike!

How often do you recommend replacing the cedar inserts?

Thanks for the email! We recommend using a new insert every year or so depending on use. They will always absorb moisture, however, after that amount of use the cedar oil will be dissipated so they won't have the cedar aroma and the beneficial anti-microbial properties of the cedar oil. We're investigating the ability to "recharge" the insert with off the shelf cedar oil sprays. Theoretically, this should work but we just haven't had the time to test, determine best application method, etc.
Of course, don't get rid of the old ones. Save them and use them as backup if you have a string of extraordinarily wet weather or uses and would benefit from rotating them.

I just went on a run today in Minnesota, where the snow is starting to melt in places and my shoes got soaked. I put the Stuffits Shoe Savers in and they dried my shoes out very quickly and they smelled good afterwords, unlike using newspaper or letting them air dry. I love this product!

I met Mike at the expo for the Rock 'n' Roll in San Antonio and chatted with him about these for a bit because I made a comment that I'd be interested if they would fit in my Vibrams. He showed me that taking the insert out and scrunching it up would work, so I decided to try a pair. I've been extremely impressed with them so far. They work in Vibrams well, and when I put them in my shoes for the flight home from San Antonio they did a great job even within my luggage. Next expo I see them at I'm going to get a pair for each pair of running shoes and probably one or two for dress shoes - they really do work!

I travel and fly a lot and always had problems drying out my shoes on days when I was flying home. I had my choice: stink up my rental car or luggage. Last yr I purchased a pair of your original stuffitts for our son who is a marathon runner. He loved them!!! They still work perfectly. Now you changed to a more expensive type. He said he won't get them because the lower price ones would allow him to dispose of them and just get a new pair when needed. He doesn't want to change the insert etc. Our son said "don't mess with a perfect product!" He lives in Chicago and has recommended the product to many running friends. As a mother of 2 soccer players, I was REALLY tired of the musty/mildewy smell that emmanated from the cleats...especially after the kids had practiced or played on wet fields. Solution 1, leave the cleats in the garage. That was ok, but then we had to pass the cleats every time we came in to the house since that's our main entry in and out. Solution 2: went online and googled something like "athletic shoe odor" and happily stumbled upon Stuffitts! WOW...they worked like a charm! After many days of playing in rain/on wet fields, I realized they weren't working so well...BUT, when I replaced them with a dry pair, they worked like a charm again. AND, the original ones were fine once I washed/dried the liner. Lesson learned...ALWAYS HAVE AN EXTRA PAIR OF STUFFITS! I have been spreading the word, and now you know...they're not just for runners! :) THANKS!

A couple of days back I got caught on a pretty bad rain shower the other day and was soaking wet when I got home. I literally could not have been more wet - it was like I jumped in a lake, bike and all.
Immediately after unclipping, I put my Stuffitts inside the shoes. The next day when I grabbed the shoes to go ride again, they were totally dry! It was amazing! I have even used it on days I am not rained on to keep the fresh small in the shoes. I love that cedar scent.

Very good idea! Most moisture management systems do nothing against odors. I run A LOT, and my shoes never stink. In fact, most of the time, even after an hour of intensive running, even my socks smell less!

I just wanted to say that I am a COMPLETE believer! I tried Stuffitts thanks to a friend of mine and I LOVE them. Seriously. My cleats had a serious smell issue, so bad that they had to sit outside my house for weeks. Honestly, I was thinking I needed to get new cleats just because of the smell. Dude, I love my stuffitts. I am training a hell lot in cold and wet climate and without my stuffitts I would constantly have to worry about getting my shoes dry in time...

My wife met you at one of the triathlons we did in '08 and then we met again at the Atlanta Marathon expo. I bought three Stuffitts and couldn't be more pleased. As a veteran of 34 marathons and 4 Ironman's and a "heavy" sweater, this was a product made for me. I also travel (fly) generally several days a week. I always had the challenge of putting my early morning workout shoes (soaked with sweat) in a plastic bag and in my suitecase....many times with "poor" results. Stuffitts have solved the problem. Their ability to soak up the moisture AND eleminate odor are fantastic! What a great idea and great product! I whole heartedly recommend it to every active athlete!!

As embarrassing as this is, prior to discovering Stuffitts shoe inserts I could not have my running shoes in my car or in my house without burying them to prevent the odor from escaping. Just a short note to let you know that your product worked great yesterday at the St. Croix Triathlon in Hudson, Wisconsin. It was really great to complete the race and used the inserts to dry out and store both my running and cycling shoes. Also I have found another use for them....to mark your transition rack!! I hung the bright blue pair on the end of the transition rack as a visual clue among the crowd of bike racks!! I left the yellow Stuffitts tag on the attaching cord so you could get some publicity too!

Just got my last order of stuffitts. I am actually not in the military, but I am deployed abroad for the US Government in Thailand at the US Embassy. I am an avid age-group triathlete (just qualified for World’s next year) and train here in Thailand in very hot and muggy conditions. Having grown up in Atlanta, the heat and humidity in Bangkok make the Georgia summers feel like arctic winter!
Stuffitts are great and dry out my cycling/running shoes within 12 hours. Truly a great product and I am recommending them to my colleagues here at the Embassy who suffer from soggy shoes.

Hello! This is my first time to see your product and I am amazed! This is a wonderful invention and could be used my MANY, MANY service members serving in the U.S. and abroad. I am an 8 year veteran of the Army and an Army wife. Both our boots and running shoes get wet and sometimes stay wet. Of course you know after that, they stink! Not a good thing when you're sitting in a tent in the desert or bring your stuff home from the field. I am putting together Christmas gifts for deployed Soldiers from Fort Benning. Good afternoon; i'm hoping the "better late than never" theory works here. I hope your St. Croix (i think that was it) 70.3 was everything you had hoped for--and more!
ok...general feedback on the stuffits. I like mine a lot and have found myself using them much more as of late thanafter the emerald pointe tri. mostly b/c i didn't do much training through the winter. currently i am training for olympic distance races, so i have been using my pair for my cycling cleats.
i have a friend in FL that is training for a marathon and he's been telling be how wet his shoes are after his long runs 20mi+...and i've been telling him about these, too.
I will definately be recommending these once they are more commercially available and I will also buy some myself.

As embarrassing as this is, prior to discovering Stuffitts shoe inserts I could not have my running shoes in my car or in my house without burying them to prevent the odor from escaping. I definitely could not pack them in a bag for travel. Now with Stuffitts completely and surprisingly controlling the odor, my shoes can be anywhere at anytime and no one knows they are there!

I purchased a pair of Stuffitts from you at the expo for the Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Marathon. I recently came across your card and remembered you had asked me to let you know what I thought of them. Sorry for the delay, but here are my thoughts / experiences:
I put them in my shoes after returning home from running the ½ marathon in the pouring rain and getting my shoes completely soaked. The next day, I put my shoes on to go for a run and found them to be completely dry and not at all musty smelling. From that point on, I was sold.
I’ve also found that they work well in my cycling shoes and even put them in my ski boot liners when I got back from a ski trip before storing my boots for the season.
The only downside that I’ve experienced at all is getting them into my running shoes. It probably wouldn’t be an issue, but I used elastic shoe strings and without loosening them (which I’d rather not have to do) it takes a little pushing and squeezing to get them situated. Besides that small detail, they’ve been fantastic.
The next test is approaching with the summer. I know they’ll dry the shoes after long runs, but will they keep them odor free as well? My guess is that they will, but I’ll let you know.
I hope the business is going well and I’ll be on the lookout for you at race expos.

What a great product! I have heard good things about this through several people. One of my good training partners up here in Greenville, highly recommends them too. Anyways, it's great to see you are from Atlanta too as I used to live there before moving to Greenville. Anyways, I compete in triathlons and would appreciate nothing more than something like these on those nasty humid days. I just wanted to say congrats on a great product and wanted to ask you a question about them. How durable are these? How long should these keep working for?I look forward to hearing from you.

The product is fantastic (I am 100% travel so my shoes live in my vehicle) the shoes have stayed dryer and the smell is all but gone!

I have used the stuffits in my running shoes after ever run. I think the product is absolutely awesome!!! If I give it 24-36 hours the bad smell is gone and replaced with the pine fragrance. Durability is great as well. My 2 year old has gotten his hands on them and they stood up to that, so I guess durability is no longer an issue.

Incredible! Your product rocks! I just received my pair of stuffitts a few days ago. My running shoes 'ranked' even before I went out for my 18 mile run yesterday afternoon. I just checked on my shoes 24 hours later, and not only are they dry, but they have the sweet smell of cedar! I'm at a loss for words, because I remember what they smelled like 24 hours after a previous run without using your stuffitts! I will be telling all of my running friends, and will be buying my second pair next week!

I truly love Stuffitts. They are one of my favorite running items. They are so much easier to use than disinfectant spray. Stuffitts make my shoes smell better too. They work very well for wet shoes, drying them in a day or so. I gave a pair to my uncle and he loves them too.
P.S. I have run 68 marathons and 10 ultra-marathons, and I am 42 years old, been running for 32 years. I really like the ease of Stuffitts and how well they work! They are awesome, up there with Hammergel products!

Do you know there are a # of races in Marietta including a crit this up coming weekend . You need to put up a stand or some thing there.

They work great. A lot better than having to stick her [her daughter, that is] shoes in the garage for a week before she could bring them in the house :) :)
Once she wears them she sticks the stuffitts in the shoe and it really helps keep them fresh without the bad odor.

Hi Mike,
I have been using my pair since Emerald Point and absolutely love them. I use them in my bike shoes and really love the cedar scent. Also, the fact they are connected with the tether is so very handy for carrying my shoes when my hands are full with other stuff. I would love to receive another pair if the offer still stands.

Good afternoon; i'm hoping the "better late than never" theory works here. I hope your St. Croix (i think that was it) 70.3 was everything you had hoped for--and more!
ok...general feedback on the stuffits. I like mine a lot and have found myself using them much more as of late thanafter the emerald pointe tri. mostly b/c i didn't do much training through the winter. currently i am training for olympic distance races, so i have been using my pair for my cycling cleats.

Had the chance to meet you in Guntersville this past weekend. Thanks for your great product. I have used them numerous time this summer during some very hot weather and "swampy" feeling shoes. Stuffitts work just like they are advertised. I have not had to sit them outside or keep them out of my gym back since I started using them. Thanks again and I would recommend these to anybody.
